What we were asked to do
MOM – “Mobilità di Marca” – is the company responsible for urban transport in the province of Treviso.
Greenpipe was asked for a drainage solution covering an area of approximately 20,000 square meters, as part of the construction of the new bus station and a depot for 85 vehicles, including refueling systems, systems for charging fire extinguishers and air conditioners, a building for the drivers’ lounge, a vehicle washing plant, and a workshop point.
The context
The Castellana area represents the second-largest logistics hub in terms of importance for Local Public Transport in the Municipalities of Castelfranco Veneto, Resana, Riese Pio X, Castello di Godego, and Vedelago.
A total investment of over 2 million euros is planned for the new bus station, the depot, and related ancillary works to also allow for the reorganization of the new connection lines between Castelfranco and the municipalities of the first urban belt, with the aim of providing new services to a total catchment area of approximately 80,000 people.
The new bus terminal is located between the parking lot and the railway station, in a strategic area for the integration of public mobility services.
The project
The relocation of the new bus station involves two macro-interventions:
- the reorganization of schedules and routes for extra-urban services (14 lines) departing from or arriving in Castelfranco Veneto, with an estimated increase in travel distance between 70,000 and 90,000 km/year;
- the creation of a new urban/suburban service serving the Castellana area for a total of approximately 260,000 km/year of new travel distance.

The Greenpipe solution: BG-FILCOTEN® ONE 150/0 H300
The solution chosen for this construction site is the BG-FILCOTEN® ONE 150/0 H300 in class D400, for a quantity of 614 meters.
This is a channel produced with the most innovative material on the market, HPC high-performance concrete reinforced with glass fibers.
It is available with four different hydraulic sections and in two versions: type M/D400 and type M/F900.
This second model passed the initial tests as a self-supporting channel up to class D400, in accordance with the EN 1433 standard, and was therefore selected by the client.
The channel is produced with a monolithic structure entirely in HPC and is extremely robust and wear-resistant, with fire protection class A1 according to EN13501 (non-flammable), ideal for the stresses caused by road traffic.
Unlike other products on the market, the absence of harmful products during the production cycle is certified, and it is 100% recyclable once its service life is over.
From a hydraulic point of view, the cross-section with the innovative “W” design guarantees optimal runoff performance of rainwater in both partial and full filling conditions. Thanks to the “W” profile, targeted turbulence is generated that promotes the self-cleaning effect of the channel, even in the event of low-intensity rainfall.
