Product Standard EN 1433
The reference technical standard for GREENPIPE Srl products is EN 1433: Drainage channels for areas subjected to vehicular and pedestrian traffic – Classification, design and testing requirements, marking and conformity assessment.
Standard EN 1433 is “harmonized,” meaning CE marking is mandatory for drainage channels. The conditions for assigning such marking are indicated in Appendix ZA, and among these, particular importance is given to the compression resistance test (or load-bearing capacity), which must be performed by a notified laboratory on each product.
GREENPIPE Srl, which normally performs all quality controls on products required by the standard, has equipped itself with a fully equipped laboratory to conduct load-bearing capacity tests.
It is important to emphasize that the Ministry of Economic Development – DIRECTORATE GENERAL FOR THE MARKET, COMPETITION, CONSUMER AND TECHNICAL STANDARDS of June 24, 2014 – authorized Istituto Giordano, as a notified laboratory, to conduct official tests (or type tests) valid for CE marking assignment at GREENPIPE Srl’s premises, thereby recognizing the adequacy of its equipment.
To guarantee conformity and quality, GREENPIPE Srl, through its internal personnel, periodically performs routine tests on materials and conducts surveillance inspection visits at the production facilities for channels and grids.
As these are “construction products,” the harmonized conditions to be met are established by the “Construction Products Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011.”

Overview of EU REGULATION 305/2011
Regulation EU 305/2011 imposes on the manufacturer the obligation to issue the Declaration of Performance (DoP), which must be prepared according to the model set out in Annex III of the same regulation.
The DoP describes the performance of construction products in relation to the essential characteristics of such products, in accordance with the relevant harmonized technical specifications. GREENPIPE Srl provides its DoPs for all channels and grids currently supplied.
Marking and/or Labeling
Grids and channels manufactured by GREENPIPE Srl bear the CE marking, which is mandatory pursuant to EN 1433 as a harmonized standard.
The markings may appear either in permanent form, as in the case of cast iron grids, or in the form of a label, as in the case of concrete channels.
