Safety, a central element for rainwater drainage in urban and domestic environments.
The legend of the founding of Rome tells us that at the origin of the “eternal city” there was… a flood. It was in fact a flood of the Tiber—roughly 28 centuries ago—that carried the fateful basket containing Romulus and Remus to the Velabrum, the place where the two twins were found by the she-wolf, and so on.
This tells us—once again—that the sharing of a territory between human beings, populations, civilizations, and waters is a story several millennia old, something that has always accompanied our development on earth.
In ancient times, floods were considered “unmanageable” events.
The only remedy, therefore, was to retreat to high ground or hills (exactly what happened in Rome).
Later, as cities expanded and the number of citizens grew, the urban planning necessity arose to occupy even the areas closest to rivers: from this need, engineering works for land reclamation, regulation, and control were born.
Today, many indicators tell us that we have entered a new era, a new chapter for the coexistence between man and water: long phases of drought are, in fact, increasingly followed by “concentrated” rainfall loads, and protecting our cities and our homes from the risk of flooding has therefore become an even more important objective.
In this context, rainwater management—particularly its correct drainage—is a decisive element for our safety.

WATER DRAINAGE
IN LARGE INFRASTRUCTURES
Thanks to the experience gained over the years, Greenpipe can design and install drainage channels for various sectors, from urban design to industrial areas, from road logistics to large infrastructures, offering concrete solutions for entities, port and airport authorities, industrial clusters, and engineering firms interested in the drainage, treatment, and regulation of rainwater.
SOLUTIONS FOR URBAN CONTEXTS
Even in an urban and domestic context, Greenpipe guarantees optimal, reliable, simple solutions with low visual and environmental impact. In a recently built house, or in the case of major renovations, one must indeed take into account the management of rainwater and its fast and effective drainage.
