Designed to withstand both daily vehicular loads and the most demanding airport infrastructure requirements, they guarantee excellent resistance. Their installation flexibility is ensured by 1m and 3m modules and various height and width options.
BIG I nS channels, with 75mm thick walls, are equipped with reinforcement and protection profiles against traffic wear, perfectly anchored to the concrete body to prevent detachment during operation.
The profiles are made of ductile iron and treated with a cataphoresis (KTL) process for greater resistance to corrosion caused by contact with the surrounding environment.
Their “Z” shape completely covers and wraps the channel, ensuring long-term durability while also allowing for easier and safer installation.
BIG I nS channels, supplied with pre-mounted gratings secured with an M10 (M12 on request) anti-loosening “bolt + nut” system, are ideal for use in areas subject to all types of traffic up to the heaviest and most intense, such as installations along roads and highways, road crossings, underpasses, port docks, logistics hubs, and airports.
The channels feature a male-female interlocking system for better stability during installation and are equipped with extremely smooth internal walls for improved water flow. The porosity of the concrete is extremely low thanks to its high quality, providing very high resistance to water penetration.
The BIG I nS range of self-supporting drainage channels is made of reinforced cast concrete with high compressive strength (minimum required class: C55/67 – fck = 55 N/mm2, Rck = 67 N/mm2), resistant to freeze/thaw cycles in the presence of stagnant water containing de-icing salts (+R classification according to EN1433) and to weathering (W classification according to EN1433).
BIG I nS channels are available in various nominal sections and modular lengths, including 3-meter elements. This dimensional flexibility ensures wide versatility of use.
