The channels, with 47mm thick walls, are equipped with Z-shaped reinforcement profiles perfectly anchored to the concrete body to prevent detachment during operation. The profiles are made of ductile cast iron and treated with cataphoresis process (KTL) for greater resistance to corrosion due to contact with the surrounding environment. The channels are supplied with grids already mounted and secured with M10 bolt and nut system (anti-loosening bolt).

The channels are equipped with tongue-and-groove joint for better stability during installation and a special groove for complete sealing of the joint.
To complete the BIG47 system, channels with bottom outlet (DN equal to the nominal width up to a maximum of 200mm), discharge manholes with debris collection basket and end caps are available.

The BIG47 I drainage channel range is manufactured in high compressive strength concrete (minimum class C50/60 – fck = 50 N/mm2 and Rck = 60 N/mm2), resistant to freeze/thaw cycles in the presence of stagnant water containing de-icing salts (classification +R according to EN1433 standard) and to attack from atmospheric agents (classification W according to EN1433 standard).
