The profiles are made of ductile iron and treated with a cataphoresis process (KTL) for greater resistance to corrosion caused by contact with the surrounding environment.
Their “Z” shape completely covers and envelops the channel, ensuring long-term durability for the entire assembly while also offering the possibility of easier and safer installation.
BIG I nS technical channels, supplied with blind covers already mounted and secured with an M10 (M12 on request) anti-loosening “bolt + nut” system.
The channels are equipped with a male-female interlocking system for better stability during installation and feature extremely smooth internal walls for improved water flow. The porosity of the concrete is extremely low thanks to its high quality, providing very high resistance to water penetration.
The range of BIG I nS self-supporting technical channels is made of reinforced cast concrete with high compressive strength (minimum required class: C55/67 – fck = 55 N/mm2, Rck = 67 N/mm2), resistant to freeze/thaw cycles in the presence of stagnant water containing de-icing salts (+R classification according to EN1433) and to aggression from atmospheric agents (W classification according to EN1433).
BIG I nS channels are available with nominal widths of 200mm, 300mm, 400mm, and 500mm and in modular lengths, including 3-meter elements. This dimensional flexibility ensures wide versatility of use.
