Our company is headquartered in the heart of Emilia, not far from the areas affected by the dramatic flooding that repeatedly struck Romagna last May.
It goes without saying that, like everyone, we were deeply moved by the images coming from cities and towns we know well, saddened by the loss of life, and involved in supporting the immediate restoration of essential services, providing relief to the population, and raising funds for the subsequent reconstruction.
The flooding followed months of persistent drought, which essentially characterized the last two years in northern Italy. These are extreme events—albeit of opposite nature—that concern water and its management: on one hand, the importance of conserving this precious resource, and on the other, the need to regulate its abundance.
In both cases, the key reflection is “care”: taking care of the land, being aware of the challenges imposed by climate changes we are increasingly forced to confront, and the ability to envision and design solutions suited to the intended purposes.
“Working well” has always been a defining feature of our projects and interventions, where we have often paid great attention to quality and safety rather than mere quantity.
In light of these events, we are even more focused on the theme of responsibility—both social and civil—regarding our work and the land we inhabit.
Every day, we are committed to the regulation of drainage water, and we strive to demonstrate this through our interventions, construction sites, case histories, and products.
But today we speak as Emilians, as Romagnols, as Italians, and as individuals who are becoming increasingly aware of how important every single choice, every single idea, and every single project truly is.
In our own small way, through our daily work, we strive to contribute to these issues that affect us all.
